Full Disclosure (Nice Guys #2)
by Kindle Alexander
An M/M Romance
Released September 16, 2014
Deputy United States Marshal Mitch Knox apprehends fugitives for a living. His calm, cool, collected attitude and devastatingly handsome good looks earn him a well-deserved bad boy reputation, both in the field and out. While away on an assignment, he blows off some steam at a notorious Dallas nightclub. Solving the case that has plagued him for months takes a sudden backseat to finding out all there is to know about the gorgeous, shy blond sitting alone at the bar.
Texas State Trooper Cody Turner is moving up the ranks, well on his way to his dream of being a Texas Ranger. While on a two-week mandatory vacation, he plans to relax and help out on his family’s farm. Mitch is the last distraction Cody needs, but the tatted up temptation that walks into the bar and steals his baseball cap is too hard to ignore.
As Mitch’s case gains nationwide attention, how will he convince the sexy state trooper that giving him a chance won’t jeopardize his life’s plan…especially when the evil he’s tracking brings the hate directly to his doorstep, threatening more than just their careers.
We had met Mitch in Double Full as he investigated who was behind Colt’s accident. He came across as no-nonsense, funny and determined in doing the right thing. I grew curious about him and was glad to learn that his story would be told next.
In this story, Mitch continues to investigate his case but has grown disheartened at the lack of clues he’s found. It is at this time that he is assigned another case that will take him to Dallas, where he decides to visit Colt and Jace. This leads him to visit a popular night club where he spots a handsome shy man he wants to make his.
Cody has been working hard to get his career on track. He has focused solely on that–dating minimally and spending time with his family. He has gotten lonely though and in trying to smother that loneliness he decides to visit Dallas during his next weekend off. It just so happens that he gets the promotion he’s been waiting for right before he is scheduled to leave. Happy and determined to make the most out of the weekend, he sets out to Dallas. Little does he know how that trip will be changing his life forever.
I have to admit that I had not read any of Kindle Alexander’s books until I read Double Full in preparation to starting this one. Sure, I’ve read great things about her writing but you know how it is when your TBR is overflowing with books and commitments. I was such a fool to have put off reading her books! I loved Double Full and couldn’t wait to start this one.
Kindle Alexander has a talent of bringing to the page complex individuals that are drawn to each other on a deeper level while still engaging the reader in a riveting and intriguing story line. I enjoy how she can move from the romance to the action and back again all the while keeping things alight with humor, sexual tension and emotions.
Full Disclosure is no different. On the one hand we have Mitch investigating a case that has not been easy to crack, dealing with policies and procedures that irritate him and trying to keep his wits about him. While on the other hand we have the romance that is blooming between Cody and Mitch, the obstacles that are placed in their path and the emotions that come along with a new-found connection.
I liked that Mitch lost some of his precious control when he met Cody. He had hinted at wanting something more in the relationship department but he dismissed the idea more than a couple of times. So to see him all tangled up in the feelings Cody brought out of him was a treat to read.
I also enjoyed seeing how Cody came to accept what was developing between him and Mitch. I understood perfectly where he was coming from, but I also saw how much he yearned to love and be loved. His loneliness ran deep and Mitch–with his relentless pursuit, flirty comments and honest confessions–helped to bring him out of it. Slowly but surely Cody relented and let Mitch in. And that was also a treat to read.
I don’t think I have to tell you how amazing the chemistry between these two truly was. Those first few moments they spent together after they met and those later on before all hell broke lose were packed-full of lust and sexual tension. It was hot to see them lose themselves to their attraction. I especially enjoyed the way the author kept things varied. Not one scene was the same, but they were all hot, hot, hot!
Keep in mind that although this is the second book in the Nice Guy series it can be read as a stand alone. Although Colt and Jace’s story is touched upon, you don’t need to have read Double Full to follow along. However, I do recommend reading it so you can understand what is it Mitch has longed for since he met them.
All in all, a hot intense read. Can’t wait for the next book in the series!
*I received a copy of this title in exchange of my honest opinion.

About the Author
Best Selling Author Kindle Alexander is an innovative writer, and a genre-crosser who writes classic fantasy, romance, suspense, and erotica in both the male/male and male/female genres. It’s always a surprise to see what’s coming next!
I live in the suburbs of Dallas where it’s true, the only thing bigger than an over active imagination, may be women’s hair!
Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life – I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations – regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal… I don’t want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I’m going to tell you about Kindle.
I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I’ll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died – weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn’t have to be alone.
That time in my life was terrible. It’s everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.
Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness – it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.
Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship. There wasn’t a time she wasn’t there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and harmony. It’s its own kind of support group. I know without question I wouldn’t be here today without her.
