Home Again (Home #1) By Cardeno C.

Home Again Blurb: Noah Forman wakes up in a hospital and can’t remember how he got there. He holds it together, taking comfort in the fact that the man he has loved since childhood, his partner, Clark Lehman, is on his way. But when Clark finally arrives, Noah is horrified to discover that he doesn’t remember anything from the past three years, and he simply can’t understand why. It will take some painful confrontations if Noah’s going to figure out why he’s lost all memories of his recent past… and secure the future he’s dreamed of having with Clark

Rating: 4.5 stars

Review: The blurb of the book is very thorough so I won’t get into that. So I’ll just let you know my impression of the book. See, I’m a series junkie and bought the books all at once. I made a mistake and started with Just What the Truth Is and I adored it. So of course I totally was looking forward to reading this one.

I will not say that it was a disappointment because I would be lying to you. The author, Cardeno C., did a wonderful job of setting the story, developing the characters and taking us through the journey. The writing was superb, the pace was very enthralling and the story was just as sweet as candy. Cardeno took me for a ride, both through the past and present narrations, allowing me to feels as if I had gone through everything with them.

There were just some issues that stuck with me and that is why I could not give it a 5 star rating. First, what the hell was up with the whole thing that broke them up? After all they went through to get THERE. Unbelievable. I just could not see that happening. They wasted three years because of their foolishness and when they finally get together again both are feeling so guilty that they can’t get their act together. In my opinion, if anyone was to blame was Noah. But not to fret, they worked it out.

I agree that Noah was extremely physical after leaving the hospital, but at least the scenes were hot and made it up for me, so that wasn’t an issue for me. But what was up with the whole jealousy bit? Really? Their friends can’t hug Clark? Didn’t Clark prove himself trust worthy? Oh well, just my opinion.

Now, to sum it up. I will say that I look forward to reading the next book in the series (He Completes Me) and I am sure that it will be lovely. I got a glimpse of Zach and Aaron on this book and they caught my interest. So off I go, on to the next book.
