Honor, integrity, and loyalty are how Deputy US Marshal Kreed Sinacola lives his life. A former SEAL now employed by the Special Operations Group of the US Marshal Service, Kreed spent most of his life working covert operations and avoiding relationships. Never one to mix business with pleasure, his boundaries blur and his convictions are put to the test when he finally comes face-to-face with the hot computer geek he’s been partnered with. Hell-bent on closing the ongoing case for his longtime friend, he pushes past his own limits and uncovers more than he expects.

Aaron Stuart strives for one thing: justice. Young and full of idealism, his highly sought after computer skills land him a position with the National Security Agency. Aaron’s biggest hazard at his job is cramped fingers, but all that changes when he is drawn into the middle of a dangerous federal investigation. Aaron gets more than he bargained for when the FBI partners him with a handsome and tempting deputy US marshal. His attraction to the inked up, dark-haired man provides another kind of threat altogether. Aaron tries desperately to place a firewall around his heart and fight his developing feelings, knowing one misstep on his part could ultimately destroy him.

The solution isn’t as easy as solving the case, which is treacherous enough as it is. But the growing sexual attraction between them threatens to derail more than just Kreed’s personal convictions as he quickly learns temptation and matters of the heart rarely fit easily into the rules he’s lived by. Will Kreed be able to convince Aaron to open his heart and face the fact that sometimes the answers aren’t always hidden in code?

We met Kreed in Full Disclosure when he helped Mitch in his investigation of a series of murders linked to Colt’s accident and I loved him from the get-go! Not only was he funny and extremely competent at getting the job done, he was also particularly loyal to those close to him. Needless to say that I was eagerly awaiting his story! We also met Aaron, an experienced hacker working for the NSA, who was also part of the investigative team Mitch was leading. As with Kreed, I became intrigued by him. I imagined his story was one full of secrets, particularly in reference to his past.

Full Domain is Kreed and Aaron’s story and picks up right where Full Disclosure ended with Aaron traveling to DC to follow up on the investigation after he found new evidence on the case. Aaron, like most hackers, is not a team player and prefers to be in his cave working on his computer–especially if it means he avoids the sexy temptation that is Kreed Sinacola.

Kreed can’t deny that Aaron caught his attention since the moment he laid eyes on him on a computer screen. What he wasn’t expecting was the powerful effect the young man would have on him in person. Kreed knows that work and pleasure don’t mix, but try as he might he can’t seem to stay away and after just one kiss he knows resistance is futile.

In the last year, I’ve become a fan of Kindle Alexander’s writing. I especially enjoy the mix of elements that are brought to the page. Humor, romance, intrigue, emotions and chemistry all work together seamlessly on the page. I appreciate the complexity of the and the deep connection they share. But mostly I love that these men are flawed and that their romance developed in spite of their efforts to avoid it. Both men are trying to fight their attraction to one another. Both men are determined to solve this case. Both issues are constantly at war in the men’s mind. Kreed can’t afford to get attached to Aaron and risk both the man and the case. While Aaron can’t get attached to Kreed and risk his heart nor his secret coming out. While on the other hand is a romance that seems inevitable whichever way you look at it.

Kreed and Aaron’s journey in accepting their attraction and love for one another wasn’t an easy one, but it was a hell of a ride. And do I even have to tell you how amazing the chemistry between these two truly was? That first kiss alone was well worth the wait and anticipation. And everything after that moment was epic HOT. The hard and rough, the sweet and tender and everything in between–fantastic!

All in all, a hot intriguing read and a fantastic conclusion to the series!

“You’re so fucking sexy with those fuck-me-I’m-so-smart glasses on and that intense look on your face.”

Aaron glanced up and narrowed his eyes as he shoved the glasses off to the top of his head and stretched out his back. There was just something about the big, gorgeous deputy marshal growling those words at him that made his dick want to come out and play. A tired yawn from hours of sitting behind his laptop slipped free as he rubbed his eyes.

“And those noises you make are a complete turn-on.”

“I have a feeling it doesn’t take much to turn you on. A slight gust of wind would probably have you at full mast,” Aaron teased, lowering the lid to his laptop.

Best Selling Author Kindle Alexander is an innovative writer, and a genre-crosser who writes classic fantasy, romance, suspense, and erotica in both the male/male and male/female genres. It’s always a surprise to see what’s coming next!

I live in the suburbs of Dallas where it’s true, the only thing bigger than an over active imagination, may be women’s hair!

Usually, I try for funny. Humor is a major part of my life – I love to laugh, and it seems to be the thing I do in most situations – regardless of the situation, but jokes are a tricky deal… I don’t want to offend anyone and jokes tend to offend. So instead I’m going to tell you about Kindle.

I tragically lost my sixteen year old daughter to a drunk driver. She had just been at home, it was early in the night and I heard the accident happen. I’ll never forget that moment. The sirens were immediate and something inside me just knew. I left my house, drove straight to the accident on nothing more than instinct. I got to be there when my little girl died – weirdly, I consider that a true gift from above. She didn’t have to be alone.

That time in my life was terrible. It’s everything you think it would be times about a billion. I love that kid. I loved being her mother and I loved watching her grow into this incredibly beautiful person, both inside and out. She was such a gift to me. To have it all ripped away so suddenly broke me.

Her name was Kindle. Honest to goodness – it was her name and she died a few weeks before Amazon released their brand new Kindle ereader. She had no idea it was coming out and she would have finally gotten her name on something! Try finding a ruler with the name Kindle on it.. It never happened.

Through the course of that crippling event I was lucky enough to begin to write with a dear friend in the fan fiction world of Facebook. She got me through those dark days with her unwavering support and friendship. There wasn’t a time she wasn’t there for me. Sometimes together and sometimes by myself, we built a world where Kindle lives and stands for peace, love and harmony. It’s its own kind of support group. I know without question I wouldn’t be here today without her.

When I first heard that Kindle Alexander had a story in the Night Shift Anthology I wanted to run to get the collection so I could get to this story ASAP. But as it sometimes happens, real life got in the way and it slipped my mind, staying as a ‘must buy’ on my TBR–until I was lucky enough to get a copy. And with extra content too!

What a difference a little more content can make!

Dr. Derek Babineaux enjoys the fast-pace of working in the ER and he especially likes that it gives him the opportunity to get his fill of one sexy nurse. Although fiercely attracted to Justin Delacroix, Dr. Baby has not made his attraction known and hasn’t made an outward move on Justin.

Justin is not unaware of Dr. Baby’s good looks, but after the life he has led he’s still adjusting to civilian life and feels it best to keep his personal life separate from his job. Until one heated encounter in the janitor’s closet brings about a change of heart.

I’m always reluctant to read short stories because most times the story feels incomplete. This was not the case with Closet Confession. Kindle Alexander made a great effort to make this story complete. With just over 80+ pages in content, the author allowed the reader to understand these characters, their situation and what they wanted from each other. It sure helped that the chemistry between these two was a thing of beauty. Explosive, intense and all-encompassing. Man, to be a fly on that closet wall!

But what truly did it for me was that the author didn’t miss a beat in bringing forth the connection between these two. As the story progressed, you got a clear idea of how Derek and Justin were right for each other. And by adding those additional scenes, Kindle Alexander firmly cemented that idea for me.

All in all, a sexy little read that left me wanting more from these characters not because the story felt incomplete but because I loved Derek and Justin together.

Excerpt

“I’m starting to think you might have a crush on me, Dr. Baby.” His own crooked smile spread, hoping he was getting past the too quiet remark from earlier. He didn’t want Derek to see him that way.

“Then quit dodging me and let’s play doctor,” Derek growled. Justin could feel Derek’s heated gaze on him, but refused to look his way.

“I don’t mix business with pleasure,” Justin playfully fired right back, like he had every night they’d worked together. Besides, Derek had to know he was such a liar. It took everything in him not to jump the smug doctor right there in the hallway and show him exactly how well he played with others.

“I’m not buying it. Besides, if you don’t want to play with me, then why do I always catch you eye-fucking me?” Derek cockily countered. The doctor grabbed his forearm, stopping Justin in his tracks. Derek turned toward him and their eyes locked in an instant. Justin wondered if Derek could hear his heart pounding against his chest as he held his challenging gaze.

This was new to the game.

Review

4 stars

Dylan Reeves lives for his work and his family. A successful business owner, Dylan is looking to sell his company which leads him to a meeting with Tristan Wilder. A meeting that will surely change the course of his life not only business-wise but personally too.

Tristan’s main focus is his work and now he has one goal in mind–acquiring Secret. With occasional hook-ups and a stand-by booty call to scratch any itch that arises, Tristan is not in the lookout for a relationship. A loner and happiest when he’s engrossed on a project, he figures his chance at finding Mr. Right has passed. To his surprise, not only does Tristan admire Dylan’s keen sense for business when they meet face to face, but also his amazing good looks and caring nature. Which leads to Tristan’s top priority–making Dylan his.

Once of the main things I loved about this story was that the characters were older yet so ‘innocent’ when it came to love. I enjoyed watching them come to terms with their attraction and the way they risked their emotions in an effort to explore the connection that had developed between them. I loved that they each had their doubts, but never once denied what they shared.

I admit that it took me a while to get into the story, especially before Tristan and Dylan met each other. However, Kindle Alexander made sure that as a reader, I’d get a chance to connect with Dylan–to understand his situation, to see what was at risk and to discover what it was that he needed. This came in handy when the time came for Tristan and Dylan to meet. By the end of that business meeting, I was already cheering them on!

One of the things I’ve come to expect from this author is the way the different elements in the story flow as the story moves along. There were different aspects to consider when telling this story and Kindle Alexander delivered. There was Dylan’s role as a father and a business-owner which both played an intricate part in the story. But there was also Dylan’s role as a gay man finally allowing himself the opportunity to explore what he had given up. And this of course brought about a whole other set of intricacies and some delicious moments too.

With a mix of intriguing characters, conflicting emotions and undeniable chemistry, Tristan and Dylan’s journey is what I call a true love story where we get to see the characters grow and come together. All in all, the sex was hot, the emotions on point and Dylan and Tristan’s connection a real entity. All things I’ve come to expect from this author.

Review

4.25 stars

We had met Mitch in Double Full as he investigated who was behind Colt’s accident. He came across as no-nonsense, funny and determined in doing the right thing. I grew curious about him and was glad to learn that his story would be told next.

In this story, Mitch continues to investigate his case but has grown disheartened at the lack of clues he’s found. It is at this time that he is assigned another case that will take him to Dallas, where he decides to visit Colt and Jace.  This leads him to visit a popular night club where he spots a handsome shy man he wants to make his.

Cody has been working hard to get his career on track. He has focused solely on that–dating minimally and spending time with his family. He has gotten lonely though and in trying to smother that loneliness he decides to visit Dallas during his next weekend off. It just so happens that he gets the promotion he’s been waiting for right before he is scheduled to leave. Happy and determined to make the most out of the weekend, he sets out to Dallas. Little does he know how that trip will be changing his life forever.

I have to admit that I had not read any of Kindle Alexander’s books until I read Double Full in preparation to starting this one. Sure, I’ve read great things about her writing but you know how it is when your TBR is overflowing with books and commitments. I was such a fool to have put off reading her books! I loved Double Full and couldn’t wait to start this one.

Kindle Alexander has a talent of bringing to the page complex individuals that are drawn to each other on a deeper level while still engaging the reader in a riveting and intriguing story line. I enjoy how she can move from the romance to the action and back again all the while keeping things alight with humor, sexual tension and emotions.

Full Disclosure is no different. On the one hand we have Mitch investigating a case that has not been easy to crack, dealing with policies and procedures that irritate him and trying to keep his wits about him. While on the other hand we have the romance that is blooming between Cody and Mitch, the obstacles that are placed in their path and the emotions that come along with a new-found connection.

I liked that Mitch lost some of his precious control when he met Cody. He had hinted at wanting something more in the relationship department but he dismissed the idea more than a couple of times. So to see him all tangled up in the feelings Cody brought out of him was a treat to read.

I also enjoyed seeing how Cody came to accept what was developing between him and Mitch. I understood perfectly where he was coming from, but I also saw how much he yearned to love and be loved. His loneliness ran deep and Mitch–with his relentless pursuit, flirty comments and honest confessions–helped to bring him out of it. Slowly but surely Cody relented and let Mitch in. And that was also a treat to read.

I don’t think I have to tell you how amazing the chemistry between these two truly was. Those first few moments they spent together after they met and those later on before all hell broke lose were packed-full of lust and sexual tension. It was hot to see them lose themselves to their attraction. I especially enjoyed the way the author kept things varied. Not one scene was the same, but they were all hot, hot, hot!

Keep in mind that although this is the second book in the Nice Guy series it can be read as a stand alone. Although Colt and Jace’s story is touched upon, you don’t need to have read Double Full to follow along. However, I do recommend reading it so you can understand what is it Mitch has longed for since he met them.

All in all, a hot intense read. Can’t wait for the next book in the series!
