Hold Me Until Forever
Hold Me Until Forever
by Christina Phillips

Ella Clark has been in love with Alex Grayson forever. She’s tired of being invisible—or worse, being treated like his kid sister. If she can just get him to drop his iron-fisted control for two seconds, she’ll prove she knows exactly how to blow his mind.

Alex has been fighting his attraction to Ella since her should-have-been-innocent sweet sixteen kiss burned down his world. He’s damaged, and there’s no way he’ll ever drag her into his screwed up life. Until she offers him something he’s always craved—steamy, no-strings sex inside his exclusive BDSM club. Where she’ll be safe from the darkness that haunts him.

Except there’s nothing safe about being with Ella, and the more she gives, the harder it is to let her go. If he stays, he risks everything, but how can he walk away from the only woman he’s ever needed?

TellMeYouWantMe_500
Tell Me You Want Me
by Joya Ryan

Determined to find her inner badass and save her business, boutique owner Michelle Ruby signs up for a twenty-four hour survival class. Except, she’s the only person who registered, and the guide is a sex-on-a-stick G.I. Joe come to life. Between his massive muscles, smoldering blue eyes, and “there’s no crying in camping” attitude, she’s in trouble…in more ways than one.

Search and rescue squad member Dex Young never thought he’d be roped into teaching “survival skills” to pageant queens. His sole student is upper class, upper state, and sexy as hell. And he has a sneaking suspicion that beneath her tight updo and designer jeans, there’s a sex kitten waiting to claw her way out.

But Dex knows women like her. Knows they only bring guys like him home to piss off their daddies. If it’s the bad boy experience she wants, she’ll get it. And Dex? Well, he can’t wait to find out just how dirty Michelle’s willing to get…

Review

5-stars

When I was approached to read and review a new Megan Erickson title for Entangled I jumped at the chance. I didn’t even give a chance for my series-OCD to rear its ugly head–I wanted this book! Thank you Entangled, for allowing me the chance to read it, because it was everything I’ve come to expect from Megan Erickson and then some.

On the surface Chad Lake seems like a carefree young man happy to drift from job to job without any expectations of a set career or romantic relationship. In truth, he’s much more than that. Sure, he enjoyed his younger years but lately he has come to yearn for more and although he has set his goals he’s still not sure he can make them happen. Meeting Owen Hawkins at his sister’s party and thinking about him after their short interlude it’s not something Chad has time for, but he can’t seem to help himself regardless.

Owen Hawkins is content with his life–a promising career doing something he loves and a close friend in his boss. Meeting his friend’s brother and being enthralled by him it’s not something Owen ever thought possible, nor is it the side of him that only Chad seems to bring to the surface. Owen is cautious, reserved and set in his ways but there’s something about the other man that sets him free.

In the last year, I’ve come to enjoy Megan Erickson’s writing, especially her characters. I love that her characters feel real–they are flawed, with some insecurities and real-life yearnings any reader can relate to. Chad and Owen were no different.

While Chad appeared to be confident and cocky, he had moments of insecurities and doubts in regards to his talents. And although he hadn’t been one for relationships, once he discovered raw passion for another man he allowed himself the chance to explore it even when it cost him emotionally. Owen was a nerdy type content with his life and set in his ways–like one gets when accustomed to living alone. He was not prepared for Chad and his struggle to come to terms with his attraction to the other man was like the kind any other person would go through when confronted with the chance to change a part of one’s life you’re already settled in.

Of course, it helped that they had great chemistry. It was that chemistry that led the way to a deeper connection. Even through their bickering, sarcastic remarks and overall clash of opinions the author made sure to point out the other ways that they connected. Sure, it was a physical connection in the beginning, but in time emotions came into play which made the whole journey all that more worthwhile.

Keep in mind that although this is the third book in the Gamers series it can be read as a stand alone.

All in all, a fantastic opposites attract story that left me wanting more and cemented Megan Erickson’s place on my list of favorite authors.

*I received a copy of this title in exchange of my honest opinion.
